Sam spoke at our Grow your Career Your Way event, it was great working with him as he took time to really understand the event and then build the content collaboratively to ensure it was relevant. We used Smirk Experience to speak at our Strategy and Positive Change Away Day and the feedback has been fantastic. Sam provided useful insight into how to leverage comedy to gain confidence not only in the workplace but in general. A lot of our attendees had been out of the workforce for a few years rearing children and needed a confidence boost to either make the leap back or even start their own business. We’ve had great feedback from Sam’s seminar with attendees saying they feel energised and motivated.

Sam has a way of making you feel at ease throughout the training sessions allowing you to take part in activities often outside of your comfort zone, gaining confidence in yourself and in your ability to speak publicly. I thoroughly enjoyed the subject matter, Sam’s delivery and would totally recommend the training he provides.

It really is a training session out of the norm, hilarious but with real knowledge and experience at its heart. The transferable skills from the comedy circuit to the business meeting are there for all to see, and very, very useful.

I was always acutely aware that I was progressing despite and not because of my public speaking skills, but Sam has opened my mind. He listened to my story, identified what needed to be addressed and showed me a series of exercises and mindsets that have helped immeasurably.

We practised with a specific pitch in mind, where we not only went over what I needed to address but he also gave me a few one liners to use that worked brilliantly. We won the pitch and I can recommend him to anyone with any public speaking concerns.
